I drive my T every day to work and back it has been tuned to just under 290rwkw and some days it feels every bit of that and more , just sideways everwhere , but then other days it feels very lazy and less responsive. I have a process west stge 2 cooler but could it just be the heat in qld, or good and bad batches fuel (always bp ultimate from the same servo) Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/55336-heat-soak/ Share on other sites

Correct?More water in the air for the same ambient temp will give you more cooling. Also a slightly more dense air charge. For example. Hold your hand out the window of your car driving along at say 60km/hr.Now do the same thing with a wet hand. Wet hand will have you feeling colder won't it? That's quite odd then.I would have thought water, having two molecules of oxygen, would have been better for bang process.Methanol and/or water injection works in this process doesn't it. It also helps cool the incoming air charge? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/55336-heat-soak/#findComment-836501 Share on other sites

Solution go faster. lol. I dont think heat soak is the problem. If you have a cooler day the more molucles per cm/2 than a hot day. The cooler the day the faster it will go because on a cooler day you can jam more air in basically. Heat soak is more noticeable when you've been using the car for an extended period of time under pressure you'll notice a performance drop because of the I/c lack of ability to cool air at a higher charge temp. (I think). Even my aps cooler struggles under hot days up here but it gets abit rank. Nothing like the stock or dds cooler I had previously but enough to feel it. Cant wait for winter. Hp on tap.
