I was wondering if anyone notices big power differences on a week to week basis. I drive my T every day to work and back it has been tuned to just under 290rwkw and some days it feels every bit of that and more , just sideways everwhere :), but then other days it feels very lazy and less responsive. I have a process west stge 2 cooler but could it just be the heat in qld, or good and bad batches fuel (always bp ultimate from the same servo)

Yes know the feeling, also mainly use BP Ultimate except I still have the stock cooler in place.

You even can tell it the fuel because your mileage is also poor.

At one stage I was getting accassional pinging boosting 2nd.

Stopped using there fuel, but because I dont have a shell garage near home I have started using them again.

I still noticed from time to time a slight power loss when using shell but nowhere as often and never had pinging.

The BP I use is Middle Road greenbank.

Also I think the humidity affects the power.

Can someone explain how with the same ambient temperature a more humid day will sap power?

The more humid it is the more water there is in the air. Correct?

More water in the air for the same ambient temp will give you more cooling.

Also a slightly more dense air charge.

For example. Hold your hand out the window of your car driving along at say 60km/hr.

Now do the same thing with a wet hand. Wet hand will have you feeling colder won't it?

Oh. That's quite odd then.

I would have thought water, having two molecules of oxygen, would have been better for bang process.

Methanol and/or water injection works in this process doesn't it. It also helps cool the incoming air charge?

urh ,I used to have an off it's head 186 stroker and the only way to get it too run good was water injection ,it mostly fills the gap when too much o2 and not enough fuel /or fuel quaility to go with it ,stops it pinging but doesn't actually give more power

yes some cars ,not already on their limit you may get a bit more power ,bacuase you can run more timing without pinging

water meth injection is some thing totally different

heat soak occurs when theres not enough air flow through the I/c. Solution go faster. lol.

I dont think heat soak is the problem. If you have a cooler day the more molucles per cm/2 than a hot day. The cooler the day the faster it will go because on a cooler day you can jam more air in basically.

Heat soak is more noticeable when you've been using the car for an extended period of time under pressure you'll notice a performance drop because of the I/c lack of ability to cool air at a higher charge temp. (I think). Even my aps cooler struggles under hot days up here but it gets abit rank. Nothing like the stock or dds cooler I had previously but enough to feel it. Cant wait for winter. Hp on tap.
