Shift Alert Beeper

Curiousity more than anything.

But is it possible to fit one of those shift alert beepers (lol I know its not called this) from the FPV's to other models?

Also if you know, what parts are required and approx. how much?

mate what dose it do.if you work shift work dose it wake you if your a sleep in the car or something like that.

but just before you hit the rev limiter an "alert" sounds goes *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* alerting you to the fact that you are about to hit the rev limiter.

yes I know its got alot of wank factor about it. but I love the wank factor

definately on all F6's. But most likely not on earlier GT's and stuff (pre-2005).

took awhile but here is an example:

would help save oil pumps, would work like a shift light but sound instead.

You can buy these in short kit form - check with your local Jaycar!

The F6's had them in there as well (as previously mentioned above). (think it was an option but and not aval with the ZF)...

You could also just add a new tacho in with a shift light and convert the shift light (or piggy back off it) to a buzzer...

As for the wank factor - I think two dol'la two dol'la might be a cheaper solution!

I have had one fitted to my previous supercharged xr8. Got it from shiftkits.com. If you want it you can have it for $60 plus postage!

Has the beeper and can also fit shift light to it and can be set at any rpm you want via laptop.
