I've noticed that some of the sponsors offer powder coated coolers. Just wondering if a black intercooler would be less efficient than a normal silver (polished metal) one? Being that black attracts and hold heat easier than other colours etc... Does any body know?

Whilst black also attracts and retains heat more so than lighter colours, it also dissipates heat faster.

I know that isn't pertinent or helpful, but that's my smart post quota for the month taken care of!

Have gone with the black treatment on the header tank and ecu cover and am considering this on my PWR cooler to match now. Not worried about the tanks but am a little concerned about power coating the core. It would only need a light blow over I guess. The other option is to do the tanks but in a silver finish which would be easier to maintain than the polished finish. Thoughts?
