Just wondering if a black intercooler would be less efficient than a normal silver (polished metal) one? Being that black attracts and hold heat easier than other colours etc... Does any body know? Not worried about the tanks but am a little concerned about power coating the core. It would only need a light blow over I guess. The other option is to do the tanks but in a silver finish which would be easier to maintain than the polished finish. Thoughts?

A thick coat will interfere with the properties of the fins
