This list could be cosmetic, mechanical or whatever and eventually could be emailed to Ford HQ. My mechanical list is as follows.1. Put the battery in the boot like BMW or at least swap over the battery and aircleaner box positions to get rid of those crossover pipes.2. On the next generation 6cyl engine do separate ports and injectors for each intake valve like the Corvette ZR1 engine. Would help the low down torque and better economy3. Do wide factory rear rims like the newer V8 Commodores. Like at least 9.5 wide rims on the rears so that 275 or even wider can fit. 4. Make it stronger eg Improve the ZF gearbox so that it does not snap the main shaft when modded ; use billet oil pump gears in the turbo engine; stronger clutch Edited 03/03/09 02:00 PM by turbotrana

I <3 my huge boot3) local public doesnt want to pay for 275s or stretch 235s/245s onto 9.5" rims (whereas, I love stretched tyres on my 9.5" wide rims)4) yes stronger clutches. 11,000km out of stock clutch FTL

It's not a bad package for the coin you pay. What Ford do need to do is improve after sales service, part availability, technical knowledge of their own components and systems. As far as exotic performance ideas like individual port and injectors, it won't happen in a run of the mil car. Why do the cars cost what they cost with these sorts of exotic parts? Purely due to the cost of research and development and construction. Also, don't do what the opposition is doing. Do better. And the majority of interpreters are old dude's, who are on the verge of retiring, and just dont care or have the pasion for the product. They come to work, do their job, and go home. And parts interpreting pays bugger all, so its not attracting the younger guys to the career. Im sure Service is the same.

Posted 04/03/09 06:58 AM Share Posted 04/03/09 06:58 AM I love the ute although as with any car there are a few things I would change if possible, just my 2 cents.1 - Full beam that spreads more to the left verge.2 - (nice touch but it bugs me) the ICC scroll wheel that needs to be activated to skip through songs/albums, id rather single skip buttons.3 - Auto Windows in the ute (even my base model ranger had them)4 - More Knee room5 - lastly, the washer jets sucks, the full spread spray is impressive but the wipers only clean within their limit and that last delayed pass is usually on a dry window by the time it happens.
