If you were to rest your foot on the clutch pedal and push it down about 5-10mm you will have pushed the clutch pedal in far enough to open (or close, depending on how it's set up) the switch. If you mash the throttle pedal now, it will only rev to launch control revs. Why Ford chose to tell everyone you need the clutch pedal fully depressed to do it is the bit that I can't work out. Atleast the 2nd cog is needed...I wasn't referring to only the OP going to the drags anyway. Was more so trying to have the question answered as I know quite a few people do actually hit the track.
