I thought (and do correct me if I'm wrong) the flap was linked to the car lock; if the car is locked the flap is too, if the car is unlocked then so is the flap. So presuming the car is only ever unlocked while you're in it, shouldn't be that big a deal?

Of course I'm probably totally wrong! I just thought I remembered reading something like that in the manual.

Can recall seeing something to that effect in the press releases...but it's definatley not the case.

Having owned three falcon utes previous to the G6ET I can't see what all the fuss is over though. :lalala:

It would be my most major gripe that the fuel flap does not lock.

If I get syphoned I will send the bill to Ford. I cannot believe that they would make a car that did not have a locking fuel flap, considering there is up to $100 sitting in the tank.

It is like not having an imobiliser or locks on the doors.

THINK FORD, JUST THINK ABOUT HOW DUMB IT IS !!!

There is an anti syphoning spring or something in the filler pipe so a hose can't be inserted into the tank.

Apparently the people who make the caps are going to make a lockable cap for the FG's.

I hope they can make them only be opended with the cars key as a 2nd key would be a PIA.
