They would either need the keys or tow it.They are very hard to steal without keys or a towtruck. As for the alarm, I would say it is the cheapest piece of crap, that will go off when you try to start the car.I was very disapointed with my FPV alarm on my old BF F6, I am hoping the FG one is better. How many times do we all heard car and house alarms go off and do anything about it??Stolen, predominantly with the keys from drivers leaving them in the ignition, such as when filling up or when at the car wash.I.B. About 6 months after buyin the Calais, on a family holiday in Goldy the unit was broken into while we slept. We were cleaned out including my mothers car from the hotel basement. My car next to it on the other hand... After the alarm went off with no way to start it they dumped my keys and ran, leaving car an all the stuff in it, cash clothes etc. On a side note, no-one responded to the alarm.... however several people rang and complained to management at 4am, they did nothing but go back to bed

ColinT Donating Members 372 Member For: 19y 11m 22d Posted 05/03/09 10:00 AM Share Posted 05/03/09 10:00 AM I have the factory alarm fitted from new. I guess it was the thought of a great car and it would be noticed and thieves would be interested. But I now agree with the other comments here. The only way it can be knocked off would be to tow away. The alarm is useless unless they open a door, boot or bonnet. I guess it work on change in electrical current. So if the window is smashed they can lean in and grab what they want as long as they aren't stupid enough to open a door. that's I guess the only good point it will scare them with the noise if they open a door, boot or bonnet. Does the lock still work with the key in it bkrk06? o_O
