I'm picking up a T tomorrow :wasklywabbit: and I'm driving it from Melbourne back to Sydney, I know these are noob questions but I need to know incase I cant find it in the owners manual:

What is the recommended tyre pressure on the standard rims (17s)?

What kind of oil do they use ?

What sort of distance should I get from a tank with a ZF auto and pretty much just sitting on the highway?

How big is the fuel tank?

I'll add pics and details later (probably sunday).

Good stuff

32psi or something is the recommended tyre pressure, most people run more than that though (I.e. 38psi)

Standard oil is 15w-40, opinions on exactly what brand/type vary immensely though. The norm is to run a full synthetic oil after the car is run-in.

Should get about 600ish kms out of a tank, depends on a myriad of things though. Tank is 68 litres assuming you're talking about a sedan, otherwise 74 litres in the utes.

there's usually a sticker floating around near the drivers door somewhere (I can't remember exactly where) that has the advised tyre pressures on it.

congrats

Completely disregard the sticker on the inside of the drivers door. 35psi checked weekly has mine at 45k on my original dunlops

What kind of oil do they use ?

Full syntetic and a brand you've at least heard of.

What sort of distance should I get from a tank with a ZF auto and pretty much just sitting on the highway?

How big is the fuel tank?

having the same car, 700ks is my best, and 500 city, and only a touch less with floggings/cruises

I'll add pics and details later (probably sunday).

Always a good idea

I.B.

I'm assuming it's used if you think it may need an oil top up? If so, just ask the previous owner what's in it as mixing oils is a no-no ^_^

Tyre pressures should be 35 - 36psi on the standard rims/tyres imo.

Unfortuantely I got it from the auctions so it wasnt really an option.

Thanks to all for the input. I picked it up and all is good, im putting pics in the newbie thread now.

I didnt try to run it to the end of the tank but I averaged 9.0L/100km which seems reasonable with aircon on the whole time.
