Heat soak would explain why the turbo was slower

yeah it seems to heat soak fairly easy with the stock cooler. at least that's what im blaming for the random cutting out after giving it a thrashing

lol brad you just wait till I get mine back. I think we all need to go down the 1/4 and settle this. when the lights drops the Bullsh*t stops.

I think you need to take yours down the 1/4 and do better then 14.7... we know your car can do at least 14.1 :P

Not that I really trust Motor Magazine's performance figures but a few years ago they timed a BA MK2 6sp manual Turbo @ 14.7 down the quarter & the same model XR8 6sp manual @ 13.99. Both cars were tested at the same time.

There is a little box under the dash on the drivers side for the Headlights on feature, take the fuse out of it and they will go back to normal

are you talking about fuse box

Nah, there should be a little extra box tucked up there somewhere, it only holds one small blade style fuse. If it isn't there, the problem could be the light sensor as others have mentioned

that's a fairly big difference. once they get going the turbo easily puts some distance on the xr8 so I doubt it will have any problems taking it down the 1/4
