I'm not too convinced that the 4"er is always the best way to go.

Most 3.5" systems that I've found are a 3.5" exhaust exit with a 1.5" wastegate pipe.

I've got the 3.5" CES dump on my car with the 1.5" wastegate section. My car's being tuned at the moment and the tuner can't seem to control boost. He's always leaned towards the 4" dump as myself and Varaitch both have the same tuner. But after seeing how the CES dump pipe flowed on the dyno, lets just say he's qutie impressed!

My dump pipe is being sent back to CES so they can make up a 2" wastegate section, he's pretty convinced that this will be quite possibly the best way to go.

im with jman, I have the same system and its some of the best gear around, iv had no problems and when I bought it I was told it could handle more power than the 4inch dump, so that's why I got it

yea im chasing 350 to 400rwkw

I'm not convinced at these power levels that you would benefit from a 4" dump. I'm running the XForce split dump and making 369rwkw on 16.8psi. That doesn't seem to be too different to others who run the 4" dump. In other words, there doesn't seem to be an efficiency issue compared to the 4" dump. Similar power at similar boost.

spool time will be excellent with a big wastegate. im running 3.5" with 1.5" separate wastegate. good compromise between quick spool and top end. :gfight:

hey Wilbs, Hiro has a 4"dump with 2" feeder for the wastegate and I think he may have a photo of his maybe. I am running 3.5" dump and 2"wategate feeder pipe and they were both made by brian at exhaust innovations, same guy who made typhoon_freaks system and they are great

Yeah, I couldnt speak high enough of Brian from Exhaust Innovations. I too went in there with the intention of going 4inch and im chasing 400rwkw and then some. He said if the 3.5inch doesnt get me to where I want to be, he'll replace it with a 4inch at no cost. He must be pretty confident with it. It did have to have the dump remodified as the car wasnt able to control the boost levels when it got tuned first.
