Not in some states, but this is not what a HIPO sports vehicle car is classed by. A P Plater could not drive your car either, but its classed as a gentlmens/wankers car.

No need to be jealous.

Point being they fall under the P-plater restrictions and cannot normally be insured with a main-stream insurer if you're under 25. A XR6 Turbo IS a high performance vehicle...the FPV badge has fark all to do with it.

As for your pugut....

Maybe you could give the ACCC a call for some advice first on how to broach the subject with the dealer, and give you an idea of your rights under the Trade Practices Act.

no go unfortunately. according to the ACCC a consumer cannot ask for a refund due to a change of mind. Basically, the goods can only be returned if they do not do what they are supposed to, are not of merchanable quality etc. This applies even if the goods/services are brand new.

Oh well - if something goes bang somewhere between July 2010 and July 2013 and between 100 000 and 200 000 kms and if (a big if) they agree to repair it - it might just be worth it

Just wondering if anyone here has had a positive experience with aftermarket warranties? Anyone had something go bang and had it fixed no worries ???
