Darkie Becomes A Greenie?

Hi Guys,

Looks like I've betrayed the Dark Side. I've signed up for a Dash XR6T and should collect it towards the end of the week. All my wheeled toys are now green. Am I green enough to pacify the fascist greenies? Not likely.

The price was OK as it's one of the remaining 2008 platers. There's still a few out there too. The car comes with a tech pack and leather. A couple of questions re the MP3 input:

Do I have to have an MP3 player dangling out of the radio to play MP3 music? I hope I can load MP3 music into memory in the radio. How do I convert songs on CD's into MP3 format?

I've read a few stoies about diff clunks. Is this a diff issue or is it a bush issue? How strong is the factory diff? Is it a weak link in the transmission?

I've got no plans to modify the car. If there's a need to make a warranty claim, it sounds like Ford cuts no slack if they find modifications. The local Service Manager said that Expensive Daewoo turned a blind eye to cat back exhaust mods. No plans to modify the car? That's what I said about the SV8 but ended up fitting a zorst, PCM edit and a 3.7 diff to help the Gen III down low.

Why not a VE this time? I think that V8's are going to become even harder to sell and I don't like their V6. I don't like the look of the car. I think the VE looks too big and chunky, especially from the back and I don't like the front guard flares. In my opinion, the Expensive Daewoo needs to be tougher. I never burned one out, but I broke 3 pressure plate springs SV8. How do you thrash a pressure plate spring? They don't transmit power do they? I bought a Heavy Duty GM truck clutch from Wrights Clutches in Lismore to solve the problem. I don't want to have to source and fit heavy duty parts after buy a new car. Hope the FG diff is OK.

I don't know a stock 9inch doesn't like much over 400-450 rwhp and plenty of T's pushing that out all day with no drama's

modified 9inch is a different story

and my 308rwkw or 412 rwhp punishes my cv's and shafts on a very regular basis with no drama's

Just burn your MP3's to a data cd with whatever cd burning app you normally use. Should be able to fit >100 songs on (700mb on a cd, assume 4mb per song = 175 songs)

Regarding the dangling mp3 player, The iPod connection is inside the centre console, with a little holder there for it. Fully controllable from the ICC

my diff stands tall at nearly 400rwkw & many low 11sec passes cant complain here. Theres plenty of others with similar stories. Good change you'll love the boost rush.
