Hey guys,

need to know whether or not a xr6t motor will be able to be put into a n/a car using the n/a engine harness and ecu? Is there many differences in the harnesses? Any info on this would be much appreciated.

thanks mate. looks like that solved that problem

I just did this conversion. It is really straight forward. Just buy a fuse box (with the loom) off a XR6T and it is all plug and play. I picked mine up from the wreckers. I had the turbo ECU and just purchased the loom (that plugs into the third port on the ECU) from Ford. Just make sure you have the boost pressure sensor and wastegate control solenoid.

A couple of guys on this forum has also got away with putting small amount of boost into NA motors with out the turbo ecu.

IIRC the ecu doesn't start tripping out till around 5psi

Yeah I think treemonkey pulled mid 300s without even tuning

Would it be safe to assume that an N/A 4.0l engine converted to a factory turbo setup could survive being driven off boost for a short while?
