Its called Linear power delivery... You dont necessarilly get a massive shove in the back on acceleration, but look at the speedo and its going up pretty sharply!

When I bought my BA I was a bit underwhelmed with the performance but as others say it is a bit deceptive and there is a variation in actual power between each car. After I just got first mods,Edit and custom tune (250rwkw) then I was impressed.

I know a BA XT is not a beast in the wet, had one before . It'll powerslide no worries, but with the xr6t the back end kicks out like a snake before you even realise.

The A4 will run sub 5.5 sec G-Tech times in cooler weather (8C), in ideal conditions it can run a sub 5.4 G-Tech time.

YMMV. Why? Assuming you have good rubber and good fuel and cool weather and a cool car (no heat soak and torque tags are inactive), the things that will slow you down are in short weight and rotational inertia in the driveline.

On an XR6T this can include wagon wheel rims/ fat rims/heavy rims/giant brakes/sunroofs/mega sound systems – amps – batteries- sub sized woofers - sound deadening (lead!!!)/tow-bars/ mega batteries/Full tanks/beer guts/

That surprised me when I got mine. My old EL 6cyl Fairmont would lay lines easy as from takeoff.

But look at the speedo and you are flying along. They are fast but dont feel it if that makes sense.

EL Fairmont = no LSD = One Legged Peeler

That's another reason these things in stock form are don't spin off the line, they've got power going to both rear wheels, not just one

If it's any help my '02 A4 made 181rwkW on the Nizpro dyno and ran 13.9 @ 101 at Heathcote

Best results aren't achieved by just mashing it off the line.
