Well I'd had enough of putting up with brake shudder & it was getting abit scary trying to pull up at 200 + kph down the 1/4 so I thought id better do something about my brake situation. Ive pretty much done everything else & was feeling abit guilty that I had hadnt done the most important part.

It only had (I thought) from factory the standard bf brakes. I rang the ford dealership I bought it off & they told me the measurments of them so I took that as gospel & I ordered dba drilled & slotted rotors all round with factory replacement pads. Yesterday arvo they turned up & I uppacked them & they had sent standard slotted rotors. I dont have time now so I decided to bite the bullet & just work with what ive got. Well it wasnt a hard job but it was just my first time so I took my time.

For starters the rear rotors were seized on but abit of lube & not so gentle persuasion removed them after a while. Painted the calipers & whacked it all together with new pads no worries. Fronts were even easier pulled straight off & painted the calipers whacked the new pads in & put the rotors on & pulled the caliper into position but there was an inch worth of pad sticking over the rotor. I can tell you that at 9.30 I was not happy. So I fitted the old rotors & got myself goin again after some not so choice words were exchanged between me & the brakes.

After some measuring & phone calls this morning we found that I have the standard rears & the premiums on the front???? Its no one fault but what chance did we have of getting it right the first time!!!! So we're rushing some up from brissy to get it done before early next week before it goes up to the tuners. Just changing what I have so far has made the biggest difference I should of done it months ago. It pulls up on a dime. And no shudder!!!

Turbo's and 8's got bigger front calipers when BF started, I'd say the Dealer guys gave you XT or N/A XR6 sizes mate!

Yeah, 298mm is BA or BF N/A fronts. Yours are the standard BF T & V8 size :spoton:

Maybe look into getting some braided lines too mate, the pedal feels waayyyy better with those.

bloody ford goes to show how bright they are. Thought I was doin the right thing & asking them.

I thought they had an upgrade but I didnt know the sizes. Even the suppliers got it wrong. Spose I can always do with the practise taking the wheels on & off.

Can I ask what made you use factory brake pads and didnt upgrade the pad?

What DBA's did you get? Just the street series slotted or the 4000 series?

How come u originally ordered cross drilled and slotted rotors?
