Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 21y 6d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 17/02/09 08:56 AM Share Posted 17/02/09 08:56 AM I have been toying with the idea of a new car.I have been looking now for 6 months and not at Ford/FPV products as I wanted something different to my foon.While I think the FG is the best car Australia has ever made, it was not on my shopping list.After looking at many cars including:4 door M3C63 MercR36 PassatS3 and S4 AudiHSV GTS/SenatorEvoXI was back at my local Ford dealer as a last resort.They have a several FPV models and were willing to make a deal.As mentioned I wanted soemthing different, so I have decided to get a GT-E . It ticks all the boxes except for the HID headlights and LED tail lights, but they are minor compromises.So very soon I will be the owner of a new GT-E in Ego. I will need to change my name to Zap_GT-E It is very hard not to appreciate the value for money these cars present. After being in many $150k+ cars, they are not $70k+ better than the top FPV models, so it makes good buying sence for me.As there has only been 49 GT-E's sold that makes them a very rare beast. I could have gotten a F6, but it is too similar to what I already have to change.Remember 3 years ago when I bought the foon, the wife made me sign a 5 year deal to keep the foon and not mod it.I am cancelling the contract 3 years earlier to get into this car. SC it may happen, but then I am happy with the power, so it is unlikely.If I did go a SC it would be one of the keene bell ones as they look nice.
