Fellas,

Here are some pics of the work I did on my F6 over the weekend. It's my first detail on the F6, and my 2nd ever so I'm still finding my way. The first was my wifes car.

I've spent around 30 hours now on my Megs G220 and I have to say that I feel a little under-gunned. Some areas seem to take ages. In saying that I'm still very new to all this and my technique/knowledge still have alot to be desired.

Unfortunately there was no sun over the weekend. Hope you enjoy the photos...

The process took about 12 hours all up and involved:

- Pre-wash rinse with foam gun and DP Xtreme Foam Formula

- Rinse and then Washed with Megs Gold Class

- Clayed car with Clay Magic (blue) and Auto Magic QD

- Washed with Megs Gold Class and dried

- Taped car (took me ages)

- White CCS + 106FF

- Topped with PB Nattys Blue wax

- Wheels topped with PB Wheel Sealant (tires not done in pics)

Damn that looks so good. My xr6t has the same amount of swirls/scratches in the paint as you have posted in the before pic. At least this gives me hope of getting rid of them one day, just gotta build up my detail collection. Got the buffer, need pads now lol

Great stuff though...!

how long will the smooth effect last with this kind of detail standard polishes seem to only last a few washes

Using the high quality polishes and waxes he used (Poorboys?), it should last for a fair while. If you go on waxit.com.au you will find loads of good quality polishes that are sealants and can last 6months+....then add the wax for extra shine and longetivity and you have a winner!

Where did you get the foam gun btw?
