Probably change when I start moving my stuff though.Iv got a lot of work to do to, so im kinda visualising how its gonna look in a few years finished, but I probably dont realise (or wanna think about it) how much has gotta be done!Gonna have to cut funds for the ute, and start buyin house stuff... Devo!designate a room as a production facility and ya laughing !!!!!

So why not live a little?Especially with low rates, you'll have more disposable income now while you're earning less. In the future you'll (probably) be earning more and so you'll be able to splurge then anyway.Definitely a 'not for everyone' approach, but just some food for thought. That's exactly right. My missus and I have talked about how we plan to pay the place off and although we will be paying extra on top of what we need too, we will still have money to live a bit. It's only the next 3 years I am really concerned about, since I am still an apprentice and won't be a tradesman until the end of 2011! So my pay isn't going to be great until then, but the XR6T will probably still go to a new home for the meantime and then once I finish my course, I'll be putting money down for a F6! That's the plan anyway! The only thing damping the mood at the moment is family, I've got a sister that seems jealous because she's 25 and still renting and all I get is negative comments from her and the old man doesn't see how its possible on 'apprentice wages'. We're in a 30sq house at the moment but at the rate my wife accumulates crap....!You buy the display with a leaseback (usually 2 years) at 7-8%, which is INCREDIBLY attractive at the moment given we could fix the rate for 2 years at about 5.99%.The decision then becomes can we afford the mortgage in 2 years - obviously we'd have to sell or rent out the current one, although the thought of someone renting our first home just makes me feel plain old dirty! Our current mortgage is about $300k but the 'upgrade' house would be around $550k. So yes it's a case of if we can afford it but how much lifestyle we'd have to give up. I'm 28 and wife is 31, she has 3 kids.

I don't like the idea of busting my ass to pay off a loan asap...I pushed my payments for 12 months, I now have enough room in my loan to miss three months worth of payments. Now that I have this fall back/emergency cash I spend every cent I make, I don't want to wake up in ten years and look back on all the things I missed out on.Don't get me wrong, I busted my arse to get ahead. Now I pay bills as they come and spend the rest.

I hope so. I don't know what car I'm going to get in the meantime. Probably just a hilux ute or something cheap and reliable. It will be an anxious wait to get the F6 but I like thinking about having the opportunity to spend some money on a few mods

Seems like it might be a better option anyway, rather then selling her and then getting a cheap car that might be unreliable! Also, I noticed that where I am moving - there is a house 3 down from us with a bionic xr6t
