Im not gonna go too crazy with spending on it, just make it livable coz in 2 - 3 years, I wanna knock it over, subdivide, build 2 new ones on it and flog one!Anything I make on the one I sell just makes my brand new home on a 430 odd sqm block that's close to work cheaper for me to pay off! Just bought my first place!Finance is done, just waiting on settlement which should be complete over the next week or so!Then the money changes hand, and I get some new keys!Im a little excited, not too much. Probably change when I start moving my stuff though.Iv got a lot of work to do to, so im kinda visualising how its gonna look in a few years finished, but I probably dont realise (or wanna think about it) how much has gotta be done!Gonna have to cut funds for the ute, and start buyin house stuff... Devo!I know exactly what you mean, already visualising all the things that can be done. The house was built in the 1950's, the bathroom is 1970's style and the kitchen bench is LIME GREEN! It's awesome though, I've already told the missus it's staying as is!Had a few plans of getting a tune, injectors and exhaust done to the T this year but looks like that will have to hold back for a while...! Ghosti NOT THERE!... THERE! Member 852 Member For: 16y 7m 19d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 17/02/09 11:27 PM Share Posted 17/02/09 11:27 PM (edited) Now the T has a nice big garage to keep cosy during the week Congrats man!Me and the mrs. just put down the deposit for our first place on Saturday (thanks to everyone who offered advice in my other thread btw). And the thing I'm most stoked about is getting a bigass, paved carport too haha!We also have some lime green action going on in the bathroom but a quick coat of paint will fix that.Luckily, nothing else needs to be done to it besides paint.I know what you mean about the mix of excited/nervous but I'm sure it'll all be good.Well done mate, enjoy it! When's the settlement? We're going with 60 days so we move in April 14th! WOO! Edited 17/02/09 11:28 PM by Ghosti

Great feeling whilst it's not time to pay the mortgage but worst feeling when the mortgage comes out of your bank

We aren't moving in straight away, the house actually has tenants in there for now and we will put them on for another 6months just so we can get some money together for furtniture etc etc. I am hoping that I won't have to sell the T, I've got alot of weekend work lined up so I will be busy but work hard now, play hard later I suppose!Definitely going to pay it off as quick as possible! Looking at paying an extra $300-400 a fortnight. Maybe more depending. At that rate it cuts the mortgage down to 15 years anyway!
