They qouted me around $350.Has anyone had this done and if so how does it sound. Is this a fair price and does have any effect on the warranty.ThanksBrownsnakes
Guest Guests Posted 17/02/09 06:46 AM Share Posted 17/02/09 06:46 AM Swap the front/middle muffler(s) out mate, not the rears. Sounds like a fair price for supply & fit though

Had my FG up on the hoist at the exhaust shop. Was told that the front section was pretty good. Just need to replace the rear one with something a bit less restrictive. I also prfer the look of twin pipes rather than the stock tip. Keep me posted if you do it, would like to hear the difference. I will get a price, then we can compare. Sound or performance?I don't think the rear muffler provides much restriction to the system at all. If you look into it you can see the bend before it goes over the diff. If you want performance then I'd change the cat and dump. If you want sound then possibly the centre muffler.RegardsBenny.

As expected, I have not noted any performance gains, but it definately"sounds" like I'm going harder! My advice was the opposite, in that the front half restricts, and the back half fromwhere it goes from twin back to single is 3" from factory!I actually think it is a bit rowdy, but it's cool, as I did mine just for fun til I get a newcomplete system. Sent it off to factory. Got first production one back.Once it is tested and approved it should start production in factory practically immediatly. I recon a rough 4 weeks it would take to become readily available.Specs can't really comment yet as it is kinda secret, but pretty much 4 inch turbo back

Mate's got an FG manual with stock exhaust and the thing sounds angry as hearing from outside. Sounds better then some of the modded B series cars I've heard. Suprised how good they sound from the factory Edited 18/02/09 12:04 AM by RSK
