What are they gonna charge me for a loaner?) I think mine suggests the tank is about 52 litres - 16 litres off what it should be, which means its out by about 24%!Plums I think list price was $54,290 (last year anyway, before the price rise) - not sure exactly, I get employee pricing. You're probably onto something though! Maybe that's why it's $5k cheaper than the Calais V...mines the same filling up at about the 52 litre range, one ford dealer told me some of the fuel sender units had bent arms and have been replaced and it fixed the problem others have told me they are all the same about 16 litres out.If they find out what the problems is let me know so I can tell them what to fix.Cheers Nick

The "outside temp" as shown on the ICC is always about 3-4 degrees below the actual outside temp! I think it's measuring the "outside chill factor" rather than the actual outside temp. Just forked out $50k for the car so it's very annoying.

A guy on 'the other' forum is a Ford dealer mech and has replaced about 6 of them he said.Unforunately I am yet to convince my dealer that this is an issue. But I will be doing the "look it's on empty but it's got 16 litres left" demo next time. Which is almost 150-200kms of hwy cruise distance.Very annoying to get the '80km' warning when there's approx 30% of the tank left.

I think the G6ET has spoiled me and turned me into a car snob. This thing really did feel and sound like a taxi (with a big mofo tray on the back of course).By the way - is it standard practice to charge for a loan car when you're taking the car in for an EFFING WARRANTY CLAIM!!! Seriously how hopeless ARE these guys? From what I've heard it's a fairly common fault, how much more could he possibly need to know about it??!!Oh, and further "It has nearly a full tank so not sure how well we'll be able to look at it". Great, so now I'll need to take it back for a FOURTH time it seems.

Drove a BA XT the other day...still feel a bit dirty Yeah they usually expect you to pay for a loaner, to cover ‘insurance costs’ is the usual line. Is definitely a known issue, so much so they ran out of fuel sender units up here and I’m waiting for one to come in!
