Went to eastern creek last nite. Ran a 15.1 First go with Traction Control on and using launch control. After 6 runs I got to 14 flat. I had all my tools and ladders in the tray although it was only the launch that was screwing me up. Cant get grip or I get too much bog. I did alright for first time ever being at a drag strip and I pretty much learnt manual on my own when I purchased this car. Going to go next wednesday night also.. should be great.

I will post up my time slips tomorrow. I did a top speed of around 175 each round.

Trap speed is a little low compared to a few FG's I've seen go down bog stock (vs your modded one) but that could be due to slack gear changes & the extra weight you were carrying.

Good luck next week & you can only improve on that 14 :crybaby:

It was good meeting last night Jamie.

Extra weight and 45 psi in your tyres played a big roll in your times. From memory when I left you had a best 60' of 2.4. As I have been learning this is where alot of your time is lost or gained, once you get the car off the mark you should sort those numbers out.

When you say tools and ladder in the back I think you need to explain to people that your tray was 90% full including a massive toolbox.

Mate is was good to see you having a go and enjoying it regardless of the numbers

I guess that makes it the quickest genuine tradie ute out there , 14 flat I can't see many other fully loaded work utes beating that

So I've been back and forward to the ford dealership getting things replaced under warranty. First my Gear shifter surrounding popped out. Then my ICC Screen Cover Popped off. Then my leaf springs started squeaking on take off. Then my floor mates were coming out of place, so they replaced them with the BF floor clips. And now my front left brake squeaks on light braking.

I've pretty much had enough of it.

I purchased this F6 thinking it's gonna be top of the range and will be perfect for work and will last me a lifetime. I'm having doubts now as I wouldn't classify it a work ute.

Is anyone else having problems like this. They have rectified everything except the Brake Squeal.

The engine block's also rusting. Has anyone else noticed this on there car ?

all the blocks rust

and I don't think anyone would seriously consider an f6 ute to be a workhorse ,great fun tax write off but not a serious work ute , I would be too worried about gettin it dirty

The squeel san be solved by either hosing your disks and calipers every few days or to change the brake pads.

From memory I got QFM branded pads on my Typhoon and never suffered a squeel again. After 2 tries I gave up on Ford fixing the squeel.

Fortunatly my GT-E has not squeeled....yet
