As soon as insurance fixes or pays it out, I will be buying again.

Cos the bike is a grey import parts will be hard to get. that's the reasoning behind my thinking it;s a rightoff aswell as the fact that when frame has damage it written and it is grazed on both sides, the triple clamp and headstem are also bent.

Now what happened:

I was following Moose and Ace ( 2 mates of mine ). I set it up and entered the corner, was going very well. Moose or Ace had blown some bark, that long stringy stuff, onto the road as they blew by and as it came into my sight I thought it was a a big I <3 Bananas stick.

I didn't, repeat didn't touch the brakes, but I did back off the throttle. This almost instantly stood the bike up. I saw the armco barrier and knew I was going to hit it (slo mo stuff now) so I turned as hard as I could without laying the bike down and at the same time stuck my knee out, which was equipped with knee/shin protectors and used it to try and keep the bike from a full hit. I managed to keep it upright, but all the leaf litter just led the bike to lowside.

The bike jammed itself under the armco and stopped dead when the front hit a pilon that holds them to the road. My boot at this stage had become wedged between the fuel tank and the bottom of the armco. My foot ripped out of the boot thank christ and I continued along the ground for about 3 metres then gave another pilon a beer hug with my left side, while I was sliding on my stomach. All this occured while travelling at 85-90 kms hr.

Mal, No I was wearing Hornee Kevlar jeans, Dainese knee protectors, a standalone back/kidney protector and an ixon cordura jacket.

The reason I wasn't wearing my leathers is since I gave up smoking I have put on 12 kilos and no longer fit into them! lol So I am currently on a weightloss regime asweel.

sh*t man, I feel your pain. I to had a low side once, don't remember much about it cause I got knocked the f*ck out. But from the guy in the car behind me, he thought I was dead when he came over to me. But then I made a couple of grunting noises and came too.

Like you said, bent frame = write off, but atleast your here to talk about it unlike a guy on a ride I went on once(another story).

So pulll ya pants up and juump back on as soon as you can.

Mate

Sorry to hear, the only problems with bikes is "its not if but when you will come off the bloody things", anyone you walk away from is good one. Mate my confidence was shattered and it took me a while to fell comfortable on a bike again, and to be honest rode like a parinoid numpty for six mounths after my accident. I had to go and do another course, and rode away from that with self belief and the love of riding again. I wish you all the best mate and a speedy recovery.
