Looks like the RE-01 isnt going to offer much better straight line grip, looks to have the semi-slick sides to aid in corner grip... so they may out corner a regular street tyre, but not offer any better grip for accelaration... but then again they might be, cant tell without trying though.

Looks like you'd be wrong then ... Bridgestone RE-01R's have very good power down bloke.

Straight line traction on my 380rwkw BF Typhoon was transformed.

Pirelli PZero Corsa's would be the ultimate semi slick but limited sizing and availability made the RE-01R's an easy choice.

Well that's great to know then, a top tyre for us then.

Yep, the Corsa's are awesome, though mine take alittle warming up to grip the best... best tyre I've had on any car.

I just wish I could get them in something wider than 235 for the front... 255/30 would be great if they made them.

What size Pirelli PZero Corsa's does Brian run on the front end of his BA Typhoon?

Recall Brian saying that the 285 PZero Corsa's he had on the rear actually measured up to be 295's once fitted on the rims!! You will prolly find the 235 PZero Corsa's are actually closer to 245 in width once fitted!

Lets know what km's you get out of your PZero Corsa rears ... note they have a treadwear of "60" :tease::omg:

Yeah I thought that too... 235s might be wider than "street" 235s. But the 295s are pretty much spot on 295, so Id assume the 235s would be the same.

I don't expect too many kays from them, they cop a hard time lol

Some may have missed a thread I started (heaps of interest - not) but there is a new Toyo street legal drag radial in the US called the Proxes TQ. Check it out here: http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/tires.asp?l...p;category=comp

I get my tyres from Ray at Tyrepower in Reservoir here in Vic who is the man when is comes to the 888's. If the TQ is to be released here, Ray should be the Vic distributor. He is looking in to it. Ray runs the 888 on his race car and loves them.

Guys, how about the Maxxis MA-Z1 ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE tyres ? They didn't cost much. I think they cost me in the low $200 mark when I bought the FPV rims about a year ago.

The Maxxis tyre company manufactures tyres for international vehicles worldwide. It is one of the newest manufacturing plants in the northern hemisphere and incorporates all the latest German and Japanese technology.

I've been running them on my car 245s on the 19s and they have been pretty good. I am going to try and squeeze 265s on the rears...

They felt ok around the Eastern Creek circuit at Powercruise 17, I didn't push them too much... and they are wearing really well.

11.18@124mph with a 1.78 sec 60 footer @WSID ... They cant be too bad !!
