Ask Pat (Senna_T) for pricing mate. He was doing a group buy on Federals not so long ago & said he could get special pricing on the semi-slicks...

I am a tard!!! No probs will arise from 245's all round, that's the stock size.....So what drama's will I have if I try to put 265/30/19 on the rear?

Will they fit on the stock rim?

What % will they through the speedo out?

Would I need to roll the guards?

Edit..I'm still a tard...It's the 595evo I'm looking at....Are these any good or am I wasting my time?

I wish they made the Dunlop D01J Formula R in an 18... These tyres are awesome. Ive actually got a feeling they have been discontinued entirely....

doesnt look like you can get those dunlops anymore by the looks. The federal are 595rs-r I checked for my 235/45/17 are $395 but I think this is the worst you can do. The toyos look not to bad does anyone use them daily? Prices?

That sux then, the difference in traction over the Yokoham's I used to have was amazing. Lucky I only do about 100 klms a year on these tyres, so they should last me for a while yet!!!!

are the Bridgestone RE-01R's a semi slick or just a sport based tyre? Just looking for new tyres & always open to suggestions.

They are a semi slick and only available from Bridgestone Motorsport Dealers!

Unbelieveable grip even in the wet :stirthepot:

I pulled this straight from there website. Anyone care to elaborate on the semi slick shoulder part? Seems to be a perfprmance tyre not a full blown semi slick like the federal 595rs-r or the toyo 888.

QUOTE

The Potenza RE-01R (with the "R" signifying Revolutionary) is the Extreme Performance Summer tire member of Bridgestone's global family of Potenza performance tires developed for enthusiastic sports car, sports coupe and performance sedan drivers. The Potenza RE-01R is designed to provide high levels of traction, responsive handling and driving control in dry and wet road conditions. The Potenza RE-01R is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

The Potenza RE-01R molds a soft tread compound featuring a superior wear resistance polymer to improve both wet and dry grip while contributing to wear and durability. Semi-Slick shoulder blocks and a wide center rib enhance initial responsiveness, provide more surface contact and fortify lateral stiffness to reduce the irregular wear that can occur during hard cornering. Two wide, straight circumferential grooves with Hydro Evacuation Surface (H.E.S.) walls and multiple directionally aligned lateral grooves increase water evacuation to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction while Bridgestone's Racing Slit Technology born from F1 wet tire development, improves surface contact in wet conditions. The tire's structure includes two wide steel belts reinforced by spirally wound nylon to provide strength and uniform ride quality and high-speed capability while the sidewalls are reinforced by steel cord that helps resist lateral deflection providing responsive handling and cornering stability.

All-new version of the world's first DOT-approved street legal drag radial brings hero-making traction and control to the strip. Redesigned to deliver broader peak performance during launch, especially for sport compact applications. Maximum straight-line traction. Fully streetable.

pirelli - not a available size & bloody expensive

I'm sure ive missed a few. I know its quite relative as im looking at 17's rather than 19's but this looks a few options you would just need to check load ratings & size availability.

By the way yes I am bored. lol. I use the federal which is a great tyre but there is always something else out there. Will more than likely get seconds on the purely for price & my experience with them.
