Gave them the weekend and the monday, heard nothing. Rang on the Tuesday later morning, bring the car over, leave it for the day and we will replace the hose. They were very nice to me and drove me home, offered to pick me up later when the car was ready. By the way the dealer is 5 mins away from where I live. When I picked the car up the comment was "there you go there shouldn't be any problems now". I started the engine moved forward 3 metres and the shudder was 10 times worse. Back into the parking bay and into the service dept. They grabbed the job card which read that it will take up to 5 days to get all the air out so advise the client of this. In the past 2 days it has been getting better. Lets see what its like in a week

BlueOvalPrint Member 15 Member For: 19y 3m 12d Posted 05/03/09 04:44 AM Share Posted 05/03/09 04:44 AM Extended warranty pffft, why would you voluntarily commit to take your car back to Ford one day more than you have to? It's just a way to keep you going into them for servicing every 6 months for another 3+ years, and any faults are the standard "they all do that, sir/ not covered by warranty / beyond fair wear and tear". Hint - if you're buying and the dealer tells you they'll throw in 3 years extra warranty, decline it and ask for a discount to the same value instead - then you'll find out how much it's really worth (ie nuthin'!) Guest Guests Posted 05/03/09 04:56 AM Share Posted 05/03/09 04:56 AM Question: When do you ever take a car to Ford for service or warranty, extended or not, and get it fixed properly the first time?Answer: NeverBest thing to do is steer clear of the muppets all together. Ford techs are never getting their hands on my car.
