Anyone heard of it before? Better yet, anyone had experience with it??

My mate has 60L he just purchased but no longer needs. I can get it on the cheap but want to know if it's any good first...

It says it's 105 octane on the side but no mention of whether it's 105(average) or 105(minimum)

Cheers

We used to have it in Sydney on the pump, it was 98 plus 10% ethanol. BCL ran it with some good results.

"Shell Racing Fuel 100" is NOT the same as the VPower Racing 100 octane pump fuel that was sold up to around September last year (withdrawn from market).

Shell describes it as follows:

"Shell Racing Fuel 100 contains more lead than currently allowed by all the State Government EPA’s for general on-road use.

It should only be used in engines in organised competitive events ( and practices for) at recognised sporing facilities.

The Research Octane Number of Shell Racing Fuel 100 is between 105 and 110 (RON is designed for normal petrols and the method is not strictly appropriate for Racing Fuel 100)."

Here's a link about the fuel.

Yesterday I went by a place that sells it, near where I live, and was told that it is a leaded fuel, is illegal to use on the street, and would need a special log book before I could buy it.... as with C16.
