Atm custom tune getting around 13.8 on the readout as now I'm driving more conservatively to get it lower, but seeing almost 500klms out of a Full tank. :verysad:

I'm 18 years old :beerchug: driving around in my custom tuned BFII Phoon & my average is 13.5/hungee IIRC.

I'd say I could easily get 600 kays from a tank if I drove mostly highway. The inst stays <8 litres/hungee 99% of the time on the highway :w00t2:

I get 600-700km on the highway (drove from Mildura to Calder BP in Melbourne a couple of times, which is about 500-550kms, and I use 3/4 of a tank).

get about 400-420km around town, although I usually fill up when it gets down to 1/4 of a tank left...

a combination of highway and around town driving leaves my trip comp on about 12.0-12.5l/100km, on my 300rwkw tune.

From my thread in September last year.

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...c=50154&hl=

I have one of the quickest F6's in the country.

I don’t usually worry too much about fuel economy.

I typically fill at around 480km and put in around 58 litres (around 12L/100km)

Best result city only driving last year was 605km on the single tank of fuel, and it used 66.78 litres, which 11.03L/100km,

I have never done 600km on a tank of fuel in city only driving, so that was a milestone;

driving easier than normal, to see how far I could go on a tank.

Dte was 0 km.

That was a daily 33km drive into the city of Sydney, some of the trip from the Hills district to the city is M2 motorway, I have to drive through several suburbs to get to the M2, and encounter city traffic lights and various hold-ups and stops to get to my city spot; plus some busy Parramatta traffic one day.

Note also that was with the same race/street tune which has run an 11.0 sec pass and 132mph pass, on pump fuel.

You can have a very powerful car, plus excellent fuel economy with a good tune.

Good components, injectors with good spray pattern, free flowing exhaust and inlet plumbing make a huge difference.

But heavy right foot and off course you go through the fuel.

The 6-speed auto, properly tuned, and with sensibly driving can give very good economy, especially considering the weight of the car.

So you guys are saying with a custom tune and bigger injectors you can get better fuel ecconomy?

I have a stock F6 6spd manual with K and N air filter I drive my car about 8KMs on a freeway to work so it just gets a chance to warm up and I get 15.7 lts to 100km.

I would really like to see the difference with a custom tune.....
