I have a ss induction billet bigger throttle body, which is slighty bigger then the stock one.. if I plan to put this onto my car, will I need a retune? shuld u put one on? iv seen some big HP xr6ts still running the standard one.. whats peoples thoughts on these?

I think - If you have it, use it... It isnt going to hurt or make lower power!

It may only raise small gain.

That is probably why they arent so commonly used.

They arent exactly necessary to make big power and for cost vs. return or gains, they are probably not the best bang for buck mod around.

XR6 Turbo Developments where going to be developing one, but due to lack of interest because of the cost for the small gain, they didnt proceed.

But, again - if you already have it, then go for it. I would think it would need a small retune, but unsure sorry!

The only way to know if it is a restriction or not is to test it back to back on the dyno with a standard unit.

Am I right in guessing it would probably be of more benefit or show more gain if it was bolted to the front of a forward facing plenum as opposed to the stocker or is that irrelivant ETM?
