Plugg3r Caring Understanding Northern Territorian Member 159 Member For: 16y 9m 14d Gender: Male Location: Darwin, NT Posted 12/02/09 05:42 AM Share Posted 12/02/09 05:42 AM Hi Guys,Well I'm spending some dosh on my Turbo and was wondering a few things.I have a BF MKII XR6T Utility.She already has a BluePower Racing CAI and a Exhaust that just needs a 3" Cat to be finished.But I'm thinking of buying the following to finish her up for a year or so until I get bored with the power.I already have 60lb Siemens Injectors at home and my CAPA Tuner.But going to buy a Bosch 044 Fuel Pump, Larger Frount Mount I/C and of course full custom tunes.So A what kind of power to the bitumen should I be getting.And having the F6 Valve's and Bottom End should I be fine not having to update anymore internals?Thanks. Member 1,742 Member For: 16y 9m 30d Gender: Male Location: Earth Posted 12/02/09 06:18 AM Share Posted 12/02/09 06:18 AM You shouldn't need a surge tank if it's a ute, but it depends on how much track use you do.Why not go to a larger 4" or 5" cat so you don't have to upgrade it again later?Also with your intercooler, why not go the whole hog and get a full intercooler and pipework kit from Rapid or Process West?You should be able to see a fair amount of power with those things.Also, you need to set a rwkW goal if you're starting to think about internals. Donating Members 1,739 Member For: 18y 2m 27d Gender: Male Location: Dianella, West Oz Posted 12/02/09 06:37 AM Share Posted 12/02/09 06:37 AM If your planning on using a Bosch 044 - you can only really mount it with a surgetank or inline.If I were you, id stick to a Walbro GSS340 or 341 as a straight drop in intank replacement pump.Your bottom end and Valve springs should hold up unless your really aiming for some higher figures (doesnt seem like you are...), however, there have been some cases (minimal - not often) where F6's have still had problems with the valves and valve float.Likewise with the bottom end - it depends on who tunes it and how much boost ya put through it on how long that will last. If you still with a good reputable tuner, you should be right.Power wise - Im not sure how good the Bluepower CAI and exhaust are so cannot give a real good estimate, it will also have some small dependence on on what cooler kit you decide to go with!
