Straughsberry & TV , my thoughts and best wishes to you both.

It's interesting how adversity affects people differently.

Whilst I have not directly been affected by the bushfire disaster , it has had a profound impact on me and my attitude to life.

All those poor people that had an expectation of waking up to another day of normality, only to find their headspace irrevocably

changed forever.Disease is no different

Complacency must go out the window, lust for life ( Iggy Pop) needs to be the mantra for the future, however long that maybe.

Who knows when our last day maybe ?? I for one would now hate to miss out !

Sorry to hear TV.

I've spoken on here about a mate before thats been given the last call with cancer, he's currently driving off up the NSW coast somewhere doing what he likes while he can. He retired a few months ago and has been doing everything he can with the time he has left.

We worry that he may be doing to much and wearing himself out but we arent going to step in his way while he's enjoying what he's doing.

Lance Armstrong and 10,000s of others around the world are living proof of what we can do to help ourselves when all seems lost. In many cases cancer is only a death sentence if you believe that it is. A lot of people go within 2 weeks or so of when their, well meaning, oncologist says they will. Without giving any medical advice because I'm not and MD, althouigh I do a lot of work along side them I have seen a lot of people go into remission by getting a bottle of Selenium Drench Concentrate from a vetinary supplier and taking 2 drops a day in a glass of water, you have to tell them it is for drenching your horse, cattle or sheep. Sounds strange but it works in many cases and does not interfere with standard mediacal protocols.

I also have the 4 year clinical medical study done by the Australian Oncologists Institute with more than 10,000 cancer sufferers on the effectiveness of 5 various chemotherapies for 20 different cancers if anybody wants a copy pm me as I can't upload it here. It prooved to be 2% effective. Gotta make you wonder.

Another reason why cancer has become more predominant in the last 20 years is because the detection methods have become so much more accurate and effective as a good MD friend said to me once; "The only things mankind ever cured was fish and bacon, the body heals itself." More than a trillion dollars has been spent on research since Ronald Reagan declared his War On Cancer and it has only becoming more prolific. Gotta make you wonder.

I think it's all been said, but a big hug to you and Mrs Vixen.

Although it's a callous thing to say I can think of so many more deserving people for this sort of sh*t, it always seems to strike the good guys.
