There is a small solinoid that tilts the globe giving it a different angle and thus highbeam.
I have been using a bi HID kit for over 2 years and they are worth the extra.
The price for Bosch is also awsome, well done Pat.

Thanks ZAP

Recently some people have brought to my attention that the web-site on the Bosch Box doesn't actually exist. I've looked into this with my supplier and they have told me that it is under development. The kits are 100% genuine from what i can see - and they work fine. If people are concerned about this i can also supply Phillips HID conversion kits, same price as the bosch, same options.

Hey Senna,

I sent u a PM and will be waiting for ur reply.

I just wanted to ask onething. One of my friends told that the 6000K might be illegal to use in NSW. I am not sure about the rules. Are there any restrictions on the headlights/lamps?

6000K is about as high as you would want to go, this is where they start to get obviously blue - 8000k is very blue/purple.

the more I read the more confused I get. the bi-xenons from what I understand are still only one globe (double filament) which replace the bulb in the main fat housing (closest to the indicators) which still leaves the stock bulb in the smaller housing, is this correct? and from my understanding when your driving around with low beams everything is a bluey goodness but when you switch on the high beams the second HID filament will fire up like a lightsaber (along with the dirty yellow stock high beam halogen? yay? nay?...maybe?).
wouldnt it just be better to get two of the cheaper brand kits from senna, one for the low and one for the high that way when you flick on highbeams all that happens is the second HID comes on? but then the pain of having to hide 2 ballast packs and battery connectors or is there a way to hook them all up to one? imagine the manifestation of ballasts (ballifestation) of seperate highs, lows AND fogs...

The fact that you have four ballasts in the engine bay (and associated wiring) is enough to turn anyone off the idea i guess. The other problem with having HID High Beams is that they take a few seconds to come up to temp (10secs max) so if you switch them over there is a chance that you will be driving without much light in the time period.
