You'll shuffle from side to side at the dealers, endless hours of blah, blah, blah about this and that and the other ... all the time, your mind racing, just wanting to tear his tongue out and strangle him with it. You'll run and dive into your baby, nerviously turning the key, engaging the transmission (manual or auto) and driving at about 5klms/hr out of the yard, praying that some dickhead doesn't even look sideways at your new treasure. You'll accellerate (slowly) away from the yard, listening to the jet-like sound of the engine. Too nervous to notice the speedo, you will be over the limit already. Unable to control your amazement as you feel (for the first time) the yet to be unleashed power just sitting under the bonnet in front of you. :o If you are not alone, you will look across at your passenger with a smile that can't be lasered off. If you are alone, the tissues are in the centre console. :o ... ah, it gladens my heart just to re-live (in my mind) the day you first pick her up. Posted 20/08/03 06:46 AM Author Share Posted 20/08/03 06:46 AM I actually had a dream last night about taking delivery of my new toy.......only trouble was, I couldn't pick her up, so had to get one of the ladies in our office to go and take delivery for me When I finally got to drive her, (the car, not the lady :lol: ) she turned out to be a manual, not an auto (I could cope with that!), she was all dirty (aagh, noooo!), the boot carpet had somehow covered the centre console ( ), and she had no more acceleration than my wife's Corolla (pffft, as if that's gonna happen )Needless to say, I woke up in a cold sweat!
