No greenbacks back then either, so your sandwich may not be all you hoped it would be.

Never saw it because I'm back in freezing London, although I did meet Terry Clarke in Auckland with his side kick Marty Johnson in the late 70s, and also owned a 74 Coupe DeVille Caddy that had Clarkes name on the ownership papers previous to when I bought it. They were just a couple of big noting Takapuna locals back then who used to drink in the old Mon Desir pub and head north of Auckland on weekly runs to bring dope down from Whangarei. Then they progressed to getting containers of Budda Sticks thrown off Chinese ships coming into Auckland harbour and that's when they got way out of their depth (no pun intended).

Marty was a nice enough bloke, but Clark was a wa*ker who couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag, what he did, or had done, to Marty in the end was proof of that. Clark was also a fitness freak so it struck me as strange at the time how he apparently died of a heart attack in a UK prison.

At the end of the day IMHO selling a bit of greenery isn't that bad but I think they both came to a end befitting anybody who wants to mix with real Crims and sell hard stuff. Clarke was only a heavy because he could afford to pay an army of real heavies to watch his back. The gutted remains of the house he built at the bay of islands is still sitting there as a reminder that no matter now it might seem, in the end crime doesn't pay. Still I hope the other half copied it for me.

Newton was great when he was on Thank God You're Here. I think he's a little out of his depth here!

It's really funny to see the 'same old' people in the show. Many of them have done the rounds of Aussie TV - some have hosted Play School, a few of them guest starred in good old Acropolis Now.

Hell, the guy that plays Trimboli has been in TV ads and even played a guy called Mr Culidos (sp?) in a teeeeeeeerible old sitcom called Hampton Court.

It would be a travesty if Kate kept her chesticles covered up. ALMOST as much of a travesty as Madeleine West not losing her clothes in the first series.

For the record, does she get her kit off in that prostitute show she's in on Foxtel?

You mean the show Satisfaction, she got the puppies out for a quick viewing in the first series.... so far they have not been sighted yet in the 2nd series :censored:

It would be a ratings bonanza if Kate got the bra buddies out.... fingers crossed
