hi guys

went back to see bruce again today, talked numbers/ boost/ etc etc. decided to work on my tune again, maybe wind a bit more boost from earlier in rev range and generally try to make it feel quicker from 0-100. seat of pants? yeah, it's better. spools up quicker from stand still. feels quite impressive really. was advised to get a dump pipe to enable boost to come in earlier (any for sale guys?), but what im realy keen on is getting some e85 and getting a tune for that. any one else using this?

any hoo.... heres my new dyno graph. cheers bruce! good work. :spit::msm:

nice result 15pound is high for that power though isnt it. I have dump and housing done I make that at 14 flat

yep, that's big boost for the power (well in comparison to mine). I am doing 301 at 11psi

well had a dump installed today and ran 305rwkw on 12psi. then a quick tidy up and bruce had it at 320.7rwkw on 14psi. im happy as it is a safer tune for the ba bottom end, but still making more power- and a quicker spool up.

sweet! next up a typhoon bottom end (when this one goes bang) and we'll see where the power goes from there. :roflmbo:

330 would have been 16psi but I want my bottom end to last a bit longer. bruce reckons its place your bets as to whos bottom end spits first- yours or mine ha ha :roflmbo::diggit:

ok- next round of power searching.

decided to go for rapid's v 3.0 kit, already had the cooler, but with his 'performer' kit- small piping, not hot side, stock x over.

- and I wasnt dissapointed. my boost was maxing at 16psi, ans after the new kit went on, shot straight to 20psi first go on rollers.

after a tickle tune, taming boost down to 16psi again, rolled up 335.8kw. curve was a bit 'spikey' at peak power though, and boost was a bit low at lower revs. propped boost up at those revs, removed a tad timing, and the result was as below- 331.3kw.

the best part is that I picked up 15-20kw acroos the rev range, but only lost 4.5kw up top.

feels so strong down low now, a big plug to rapid's v 3.0 kit. its an awesome bit of kit. :beerchug:
