Prob best to steer clear of the 2 panel new series (few problems and fit issues). True 'factory fit' will only have a rubber seal on the glass, the roof has a folded metal lip as it is stamped into the roof on the production line. This can be done aftermarket, however will set you back somewhere closer to $3500, plus require a few days as will have to be painted. Normal aftermarket fits have a rubber seal on both the glass the metal.A lot of factory fits are done aftermarket style funny enough... but hey that's a different story. Having owned both, the folded metal lip is a lot nicer looking and less wind noise. As for fitting SA no idea, but prestige sunroofs in Mel have great rep. I know the majority of manufacturers do them after, as the line doesn't have facility's to do the sunroofs. Expensive Daewoo used to have to stop the line to pull them into a side bay where they were stamped and fitted, then stop the line again to put them back on, as you can imagine that didn't last long as it held things up (I used to own one of these) that's why they then went aftermarket style of fit thru HBD (pieces of sh*t, leaks and wind noise) until the line was upgraded for the VE.Are the 'factory ford' roofs folded metal lip or rubber seal on either side? I'm guessing rubber sealed as they would've been sent to fpv painted....The headliner is recovered in a close matching material as they hold a patent on the fabric and fitters can't get it for the first few years of a new model coming out. The liner in mu G6E looks exactly the same, only the texture of weave is different, you wouldn't know unless you saw another side by side.
