yep T51R SPL ... not ball bearing version... journal bearings have faster response time (just slightly) than ball bearing

little schoolroom lesson for those out of the know

there are 4 kinds of HKS T51Rs ...

KAI have smaller compressor wheels compared to the SPLs

and then you can get the Journal Bearing (oil cooled) and Ball Bearing (oil/water cooled).

plug n play FTW!!!

btw, I found out that the car ran 8s with 650hp at the FLYWHEEL :w00t2:

Very impressive, I have only 1 question, why powerglide. lots of heavier more powerful cars running something more interesting than that. There are some xr6t's soon to be tuned my brisbane's motec guru Phil Laird from graphic skills, wondering if you've spoken to him about your project

it must be light because my capri had 930hp and only ran eights.

yeh the car is mostly fibreglass. haha

running powerglide due to the fact it already has a Final Drive made tailshaft to suit.

and ive found for the money it costs for a 1150hp rated Powerglide, that money can only buy a C4 with half that and a T400 with about 800hp

so powerglide is best bang for my bucks.

no I havent talked to him about it, my current tuner for my XR6T loves motecs and cant wait to do it. so im quite happy about that :)

ok since last update, ive managed to get a hold of the original engine plates (to suit chassis and the clevo).

and ive also bought Siemens 80Lb injectors and sold my 60Lb'ers

I decided to test fit the custom bellhousing today (made by Dellows)... luckily I had no bellhousing issues, which is nice, I was a bit concerned prior due to Jeff (XH50WA) have lots of issues with his for his TKO600 gearbox and Dellow bellhousing.

here's the bellhousing versus engine plate (to suit clevo) ... the hardest part will be to make sure the 6T bellhousing is in the centre of the (new) engine plate, will work something out :)

here's the cooling system, as per usual it runs around the rear to go to the heater box etc

I will be removing all the pipes/piping (except for the turbo water feed and return lines)... but I will have to work that out in a bit more detail when I purchase an electric water pump
