No such thing as free money. Money's gotta be paid from somewhere and of course we'll have to make it up when things get better

Now I really have NFI about economics but surely you simply cant buy yourself out of a reccession?? Just doesnt seem to make sense to me?

I can honestly tell you that there is a big difference between being on 35-45K and 60-80K. Surely those people on lower wages should get more?

I'll be eligible for the money, but I still think its a stupid f*cking idea, I don't see how it will help at all... I mean, the country is in how much debt.....? ah f*ck it we'll give away some cash to everyone anyways... its as dumb as shouting your mates beers every week when your on the dole....

nice analogy.

Given the enormity of the handouts , the details are a little scant for mine.A few working bees at a few schools,

a bit on road / rail , dish out some cash to spend and some more low cost housing with no supporting infrastructure.

People on tough street will not all be spending it,maybe a new Plasma from overseas. Further helping our balance of trade

What about part funding the $12bn now aborted Northwest Rail link ( one of Australia's fastest growing corridors)

and help save Australia's biggest city from becoming totally strangled. What am I saying ?it's farked beyond belief now, and

will only get worse :crybaby: Yet the Gnome talks about "long term infrastructure programs and blueprints" well what the fark are they ??

Krudd looked nervous on TV and IMO both he and Swan are both way too far out of their collective depths

to have come up with anything that is "nation building" .... what a joke.

I would love to proven wrong , but I don't see these cretins getting us out of this. Stimulate the nation into coma!!

I'd stimulate this bloke within an inch of his life

Who is the finance minister , conspiculously quiet. That is if anyone know who he is :ta:

You would have thought he might have upped his profile over the past 12 months.

I am now going to fetch my soap box I will be back...... no doubt. Krudd is putting up a very inept performance on the ABC,

if only it wasn't so sad.

"Rational basis for optimism, rational basis for hope" Grrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrr

No the people who earn over the cut off will be paying for it Robbo. As soon as the listed percentage of my wifes tax goes over 50%, I really think I will drive to Canberra and seek an audience with the PM and snot him one in the face. Who the f*ck do these sorry excuses for humans with all their lifelong perks, think they are? Does anyone remember that our sorry excuse for a Prime Minister is a millionaure 6-7 times over? And the leader of the crapasition is also a multi millionaire? You don't need brains to be a pollie, just money, then you can protect it all with snide deals etc.

I might go and live in the Cayman islands and drive a Cayman while I am at it!
