It's amazing how a good accountant will turn you from a high income earner, into a low income earner, but with all sorts of goodies paid from money not considered yours from an income point of view.Best thing I ever did was find a good accountant (and don't try and do it yourself, because if you f it up, you owe the gov't big time)I have a good accountant buts there's only so much they can do.........If i earn over 100k and my wife earns leas the 80k is she eligable?How much differnence does Krudd expect $950 to make to the economy? Don't hang me on that one though.I guess it isn't so much a case of how much difference can $950 make but if you consider that it is being given to 8.7 million people or thereabouts, and hope to God that most of them spend every last cent of it, that's over $8bn being injected into the economy. Add in the drought payments, interest rate cuts, education bonuses (which I believe is $950 per child for eligible families) etc etc - it all adds up. At least I guess that's what they're hoping.I can't imagine it will keep us from recession but merely delay it and perhaps reduce the depths to which the economy plunges.
