so I smacked into a fox a few weeks back at 100kmh in my BF2 Phoon......buggered front bar, undertray, cooler, radiator etc. Smash repairer has been waiting on one part for the front bar (lower insert) now for a few days, was expecting delivery today however Ford now tell us they dont have any in the country and that it wont be back in stock until late March.

WTF?

This is bloody Ford.......a big company in Oz. Not a bloody Skoda or Alfa who have no parts.

Anyway, will get the car this arvo and will need to take it back in March it seems to have the bar off and refit this part. Very poor effort FPV/Ford.

that's bollocks mate... Not good!

You would think that they would have most if not every single component of their product in stock somewhere in the country...

The problem is that we have all been accustomed to the huge lack of service and aftersales suppport and it no longer really suprises me/us!

Hopefully you get you parts in with no further delays Erko, although I dont really see that happening unfortunately!

phatal,

I had one of my driving light surrounds replaced, when I called one dealer they say 200$ buck - NOT PAINTED... Then just got the guys to fix it up at the last service - $200 Painted straight from FPV...

So I would assume that the lower insert 'may' come painted as well...

This forum seems to have alot of supporters, that equates to alot of ford buying power

so get every one to sign a petition TELLING ford we are not impress. This seems to work with politicans and they are dumb and dont need our hard earn dollars for there business to actually survive [Maybe they do].

Do any of you guys know if ford credit has sold this financial side of ford?

HIRO - no mate, its covered by insurance, so I only want genuine. I have the car and its no drama, just need to go back next month to get the bar off.

Believe this part will come painted, the FPV genuine bar was not however

efc63 - mate I wrote a topic about ford credit a few days back... forgot to check it...

think I put it in the ford topic section.

I dont believe they have sold the business unit, just restructuring and changing some of the product offering here in Oz.

Erko, I had a similar problem. Ford agreed to replace the rear bumper insert on my Force 6 under warranty but then said there were none in the country. I was told the insert had to be made by Prodrive in New Zealand -WTF??? Anyway, long story short it arrived 3mths later..... and no, it didn't come painted. The paint was done by their panel beater who also installed it afterwards.

I agree it's totally unacceptable to not have these parts in stock, or at least be able to obtain them within a reasonable timeframe (say 7 days max). At the end of the day I was happy with the job but it took WAY too long.

Cheers
