hey fellas, I'm finally heading out to willowbank on wendsday and just want to know if I should shift manually at 5000 or just keep her in perf mode. Which is faster. I have 270rwkw and it is a 2003 ba standard auto. Any advanced info will save me stuffing around testing and comparing shift mode times. Cheers.

I got outa first at 5000, then changed at 5250 evry other gear.. have a look at your dyno graph to see whee your car stops making peak power. and changed then. I'll be out there too on wednesday. so come say hi!

Use the above advice and see where it takes you.. There is some bit of delay between moving the shifter and the gears actually changing.

Hey Typhoon_Freak. My dyno sheet is crap man. It's only got hp and the afr readings on it. I'll just have to do a run shifting manually, wait for it to cool down and then try perf mode. See ya out there dude.

with the 4spd click it to go into the next gear ar 5000rpm, by the time it takes u to shift and it should shift at around 5200rpm which with my car I have found is close to the " sweet spot" so to speak.

though it does take time and practice to find the right rpm to shift at.

Hey guys, thanks for all the help. Went out to willowbank last night and got a PB of 13.361 with a 2.220 60ft. Started of with a 13.8 just wasn't ready for the lights(first time down the strip). But had heaps of fun and am keen as to get into the 12s.
