I'd say between 36 and 38psi cold.

At 36psi they might wear a little quicker on the edges if you tend to throw it through the corners but the ride will be a little softer in general. At 38 psi the ride will be a little harsher but they won't wear as quick on the edges when your fanging through the corners.

I've just put a set of 245/35/19s on my car on the weekend and I was going to ask the same question about the 35 series tyres. I do tend to "have a bit of fun" through the corners sometimes so I decided on 40psi cold.

Nice thread mate..

As I was also thinking I should have made sure my tyre pressure was correct before heading down the GOR on Saturday.

I run 245/35/19 up front on a 19x8 rim and 275/30/19 on a 19x9.5 rim.. any feedback on what they should be for everyday driving would be greatly appreciated :)

mark.

that's also fine........really comes down to personal preference and also the tyres. Anything above 36psi and below 44psi would be fine generally.

the wisdom on running more front air is around the additional weight that the front end is carrying. When going hard on street tyres 42psi cold is probably about right in the front as the higher pressure will help in reducing the sidewall trying to fold under when cornering hard.

I just put some toyo teo 235/45/17 on stock rims and the tyre expert told me 32psi front and back so I guess it all depends on the type of tyre and type of road use you get. I would call the tyre manufacturer and ask them.

Cheers DG

Yep.

I've always run about 3psi higher than the manufacturers recommendations and usually a couple more than the "experts" recommendations. Generally means a slightly harsher ride but otherwise I tend to wear the outside edges when I'm "having fun" around the corners :)

that's ridiculous for that profile which most of us on 17's have. that's underinflated and will reduce your level of traction and increase your wear rate. Even warned up there only going to reach 35.

The Ford reccomended sticker is also way out.

At least 35 cold, or my preference 38 which will warm to 40/41. Im passing 42,000k's on the original Dunlops and they'll make 45k legally.
