fordfreak XRT07 Member 378 Member For: 16y 7m Gender: Male Location: glenwood Posted 19/08/09 09:35 AM Author Share Posted 19/08/09 09:35 AM like my home job painting of my old 20 inch RJR "torque" rims??? total cost around $30..bunnings...2x gloss black spray paint @$7.50 each..2x gloss clear.. @$7.50 each1 bottle of allready owned "Wax and grease remover"... -only a small amount needed..took 4 hours to do.. jacking each corner 1 at a time with the factory wheel jack...AAARRRGGGHHH!1) jacked up one corner..2)removed rim3)masked off the dish..4)with a clean rag used "wax and grease remover" to clean the whole rim..5)sprayed 3 thin layers until evenly covered.. of gloss black6)wait 15 mins for gloss black to set a bit..7)sprayed 3 thin layers of clear gloss until evenly covered..8)wait 15 mins for gloss to set..9)carefully peel away the masking tape..10) gently attach wheel back to the car with special care taken of inserting the wheel nuts to the lugs..
