Any plans to take it down the strip anytime soon?

I thought RAP1D only rated the intake on the V3 to 350rwkw?

No other exhaust mods other than the Cat? What Cat is it?

Yeah I do only rate these under battery intakes at 350wkws, its pretty much the ball park max power level that most tuners I speak to get, so id rather go by what the feedback I get is, rather than make up a number.

Out of all the V3 kits I've sold, this is the second highest, the highest being 370something on a BF2 from Canberra.

The majority of V3 kits that I hear back about run around at 340wkws on 15psi... but then the odd one falls short and gets 300, others go huge like this example.

I spose it always comes down to the tune, state of the motor and turbo, fuel, oil, plugs ect

You can also consider the BF2's exhaust, being able to flow alot better than the BA, due to its 3inch into twin 2.225 inch merger and for flow, "no cat" is always going to outflow the best cat.

Bowie, when we spoke today I warned you of running 21psi, but now Ive seen the graph, its actually maxing at 17psi which is pretty much ok for a BF2 motor, so try the tune, just make sure its got good 98 in it, and get a boost guage installed.

Have fun with it mate,

Chris.

apart from the obvious risk how come you advised him against goin or 21psi Chris? too many restrictions in the line cauing unnecassary heat & so on & so on???

Yeah mate, at 21psi the stock turbo is producing alot of heat when working off the stock exhaust manifold and dump.

But he first told me that it was making the 368 on 21psi, but read the graph wrong... 17psi it is, and should be fine.

21psi is at the extreme limit of the stock turbo, and starting to blow hot air rather than more air volume.

thought that might of been the case. All the same good power with what he's working with!!!

On a side note & can send via pm if you please, the setup im running should it be a little more boost friendly, as in 21psi?

That is an impressive power increase over stock. I'm also glad to see you are taking the sensitive route and driving with the more moderate tune first.

I also note that the power run was done in 8F instead of 6F for a different ramp rate. For those that know these things, what difference would this make to the overall numbers?

434rwkw on Bruces dyno and then 438 on Kpm's 2 days later......another car lost 15rwkw

mate that's 4kw's.... I dunno what your complaining about

most cars lose that BETWEEN RUNS not 2 days apart in more than likely different weather/humidity.

im not saying all dynos are the same, far far from it... but 4kw's is pretty bloody close and nothing to cry about. :idunno:
