I think that 1st gear should have it's name changed to SMOKE! I just want to be able to put my foot down and go without all the fuss. What experience has anyone had with grippy rubber for 245/35 20. Guest Guests Posted 02/02/09 01:41 AM Share Posted 02/02/09 01:41 AM if your trying to stop it spinning up in 1st. save your money and don't bother. no tyres will hold first gear, except maybe r-comps/mt streets, but they aint 20's so that is a mute point.try controlling your right foot a bit

We can all point ya to the most expensive but if you dont have deep enough pockets, its a bit pointless. Some of the guys in WA run the Sumitomo's and seem to be fairly happy for the price...Nexen 3000's come in a 20... Im not sure what they are like though.Khumo Ku31's come in 20's... Have a read around on here as to what others are running.Esky is right though - get out of first and into 2nd lol! They dont have very much straight line grip compared to some hankook Ultra high performances I used to have on my BA.Budget I suppose will need to be around the 350 - 400 mark, not too concerned with cornering grip but more straight line grip with average wear life
