hi guys,

was talking to bruce heinrich this morn about a tidy up of my tune. and he screwed his face up and said its totally my responsibility if I do this as he doesnt like to push stock bottom ends. my ba mkII has 60k on the clock and is tuned to 303rwks @14psi boost.

as far as I can tell, there are some of you running higher numbers/ boost with the stock bottom end, but I dont wanna risk a 5k rebuild if mine goes pop when I try to wind in 15 or 16psi. I have all the add on goodies already installed. I would like more torque and maybe 320ish rwkw.

recommendations?

Anything over 300 on a BA bottom end is playing with fire mate, Bruce seems fairly responsible...

Dont do it man, you may see people posting all the time that they have X rwkw on a stock bottom end which makes you think its safe but generally they dont make a thread when it throws a rod.

wind that bastard up X!!!!

around 18psi they seem pretty happy, I know of ppl who have had ~20psi on pump fuel.

I think qik1 has pushed some boost through his beast in the past.

I think qik1 has pushed some boost through his beast in the past.

I have had 21 through it but ive been running around on 17 - 18 for a while now but its gonna have 20-21 back through next week when its retuned. Mines a bf mk2 though.

Build date was 06/06 when they went to the typhoon internals.

As for more boost. Always a risk involved but blokes like blueboost & headsex have big power running through theres but im sure there willing and able to live with the consequences when/if they go pop. Some have gone bang with alot less but then theres ones that just wont die. As im sure you'll be told at your own risk. For me its worth it but would still :crybaby: if/when it gives up the ghost

Thye biggest thing after the tune is the fuel quality. If you have a really strong tune and someone fills it with 91 octane (wife or friend for example) The next time you put your foot down there may be a nasty sounding bang...

fuel system also needs upgrading, doesn't matter if its only running 15lb if the squirters are starved of that life giving juice
