of course it will. now that they have started this sh*t, they will keep doin it. simple. every year or so the flash tuners will become obsolete, and will have 2 upgrade.

The guy from SCT has been answering questions on another forum tonight.

The basics of his answers have resembled a warm golden shower onto all of the affected customers.

Im also getting the impression now that they its not there responsibility since there is another companys name on the box you bought (ie CAPA or whoever)...............However since they have then taken a deliberate action to damage another partys product they should still be liable.

Any tuner who still has Advantage V2.9 will still be able to tune your XCal1 box. Most vehicles up until the BFII, Boss 302 cars are supported. BA, BAII, BFI shouldn't be a problem.

At the moment the bottom line is SCT have made a stand on Xcal1 and will not reverse their decision. 90 days until Xcal1 lock-out occurs for Advantage 3.xx

Let me reiterate your tuner can still tune your Xcal1 box with Advantage V2.9.

I think we are going to see some serious Department of Fair Trading issues against CAPA as they are the ones who will have no chair when the music stops.

What SCT have done is cost CAPA a truckload of money.

sct have made my box obsolete... a box that is meant to have 5 lives.

"If you were one of the first than that means you got the device in 2005. Please contact the dealer that sold you the device and let them know that you are not satisfied. SCT made the technology which works fine. We are no longer supporting the device due to prohibited actions by a dealer in AU'.

esentially they want me to take the fight to capa.... a fight tht has nothing to do with me. Im not playying that game

SCT Will suffer for this decision as well.

The bad press from these forums will travel to the world wide community very quickly.

SCT have shown their cards and nobody likes their bluff. The ONLY recourse you will have under consumer law is with CAPA.
