Since when was there rules to say that you couldn't use a Xcal1/2/3 on a BA/BF/FG? I know the tunes are the same, but they all use the same OBDII plug...Not biased at all.that's what they want you to use now (Xcal3), isnt that why this sh*t fight is happening? All they want you to do is upgrade to a new box, your tuner can load your tunes from your Xcal1 or 2 into the Xcal3, but one catch, its gonna cost ya, never mind that your current falsh box has no issues... The consumersTheres much more to it than that, plenty of politics but we wont go into that.Yes the consumers suffer, so do the tuners with stock that they have paid good money for sitting on the shelf unable to be sold or used, see everyone suffers, except the ones forcing you to upgrade... philstoj Member 6 Member For: 15y 10m 24d Gender: Male Posted 02/02/09 07:05 AM Share Posted 02/02/09 07:05 AM Yes, so we need the other tuning companies to get cracking and take advantage of this situation by matching what SCT can offer tune wise.Companies have to realise we are a growing market (ford modifying) and see that its worth investing in products for us, the others are good products, but they need to capitalise now. I can't think of many people at all who would be willing to pay another grand for a new version of a product, simply because the manufacturer CHOSE to render their old one useless. SCT/CAPA have shot themselves in the foot, and it's going to cost them business.Given that SCT have proven that they don't deserve our business, I'd say Sniper and VCM now deserve a chance more than ever, simply based on principle. Gets your point across , but the consumer still has to pay again either way . Upgrades on the SCT product or an alternative.I think I can speak on behalf of the members that some will need to be convinced about the alternatives, and their tuners ability and familiarity in using said products in obtaining the best results for the additional investment. This is not a great position for owners of flash boxes( most) , who have been using SCT products since piggybacks became door stops. For mine this discontinuity in the trade provides opportunity for the right companies to take a leadership position and market the features and benefits of their product V upgrading ( albeit unwillingly, as per the poll) to another SCT product.Open the wallets advertise, be pro-active, and like any business enjoy first mover advantage , or just sit on your hands and see what happens. Over to the alternatives to come up with the right products, best in class marketing and the best deals to convert members from the existing platformHuge opportunity for those with the ability to execute with speed new and proven tuning strategies for the xr6t platform.Just a few ideas , listen up and get on with it.
