I can tell you definately that they didn't tell anyone, I called my tuner about 20mins ago and he was just about to load a tune on a flash 1! Not Happy Jan indeed

removed illegal talk... :crybaby:

I'm spewing. I haven't even used my flash 2 yet. Still, if I have to I'll probably fork the money out for a flash 3... I've already got most of the parts for modding my car...

It's a tough thing they've done. They've obviously done it without warning to anyone which comes as the biggest shock. If they had have said XCal 1 and 2 will be phased out over the next 6 months, and on that date they will no longer work, so get your XCal 3 for $xxx.xx now as they go up to $xxxx.xx on said date. That would have been a more empathetic move.

What a bunch of stupid f ucking Americans hanging everyone out to dry as per usual. :crybaby:

I agree with that Jim. The Ambush ("preemptive strike" in the American parlance) will ensure that few tuners will be keen to use SCT's products and that very few of customers will go anywhere near their product in the future. In this game, mud sticks and the SCT competitors will see this as a manna from heaven.

what a monumentally short sighted fark up. :spit:

Would it be possible for say a tuner to buy 'burns' or credits under a new name so as they dont have to update any files that are in use up until now?

BTW - Great topic... 16 users reading it. Bit like the sh*tfights in the old days haha!

I'm no legal eagle, but I would think that taking it to your place of purchase and saying it doesn't work and can't be tuned gives you grounds for legal action. I purchased mine less than 12 months ago! I am sure if this was taken to the ACCC the suppliers in OZ will have to do something about this! It is then there battle with SCT not ours! I am sure they would be looking at the contracts very closely if they haven't done so already!

This does suck though!

:crybaby:

this is farking ridiculous.

HP Tuners here we come!

My Capa box with typhoon, 10 and 12psi tunes will be on ebay shortly. They will never get another $ from me.

HPTuners is not the only solutions..

And the capa flas box once already been on your vehicle is no good to anyone else..

good point........now it cant be reflashed. what a farking nugget of a situation this is.

FYI guys, that SCT is a foreign company does not mean that they are immune from Australian Consumer law, there are means to bring action against foreign entities.
